6 Powerful Neville Goddard Imagination Tips

Neville Goddard Imagination Tips

Your wonderful human imagination is God in action. When you fully utilize this power you are then able to consciously manifest any desire you may have and live a truly abundant life.

The great secret is a controlled imagination and a well-sustained attention, firmly and repeatedly focused on the object to be accomplished. NEVILLE GODDARD

Your awakened Imagination  doesn’t require any particular skill. The theory behind it is that if you imagine your future goals and dreams consistently in the way Neville Goddard taught, your brain wires itself to help you make them a reality.

You don’t have to be particularly creative either. Even if you’re the most analytically-minded person in the world, you certainly daydream sometimes, right? Well, that’s using your imagination!

However, there are a few secrets to effective visualization that can enhance and speed up the process. Please note whenever we use the term visualization in this article we are referring to specific imagination methods taught by Neville.  Whether you’re a beginner or are already practicing the Neville Goddard Imagination techniques , consider the following tips.

Create an ambiance

Whether you’re using a vision board or doing meditation-type visualization, try to have an extended session twice or three times weekly where you create a relaxing ambiance.

Designate a quiet space in your home for visualization and make sure you have a comfortable place to sit. Play soft music, light candles, use essential oils or incense… do the works!

Consider your imaginary sessions as an important ritual in your life and create the right atmosphere for it. Not only will you look forward to your relaxing visualization sessions, but your brain will love it. It will work harder to make your dreams a reality.

Engage with all of your senses

Say your dream is to quit the rat race and run your own farm. As you imagine your wish fulfilled , use all of your senses to make the experience more vivid and real.

Engage All Five Senses

Smell the freshly-mown grass and the beautiful scents coming from your flower garden. Hear the various animal sounds around you and the rustle of the breeze in the trees. Feel the breeze against your skin and the soft grass under your feet… and so on.

In short, create visions that allow you to use all of your senses as much as possible.’ This makes the vision so real that you won’t want to come back to reality! But more importantly, your visualization will be super effective.

Give free rein to your emotions

It’s important to let all of your creativity run wild when you’re visualizing. But never let it distract you from how you’re feeling. Let your emotions run wild as well and experience all of the wonderful feelings that come to you.

It’s a little bit like alternating your eyes between two different things. Experience your future life with all of your senses but don’t forget to give free rein to your emotions as well.

Enter the state before bedtime and first thing in the morning

Experts and psychologists recommend doing visualization as soon as you wake up and again before you go to bed.

Morning visualization is a wonderful way to start the day. It will leave you feeling energized, positive and ready to take on anything.

In the evening, you can play soft music as you lie in bed and do your visualization until you start to feel drowsy(the state akin to sleep) . That way, your wonderful future will be the last thing on your mind as you drift off to sleep. And as an added bonus, you’ll feel so relaxed that you’ll get a great night’s rest!

Journal your vision

If you love to write and have a way with words, recording your visualizations in a journal may make them more real to you.
Again, be as expressive and as descriptive as possible, and remember to engage all your senses. Don’t forget to describe your emotions as well.

You can go back and embellish your vision each time with more details, rewrite it in different word or even create a new one.

Practice

Like most things in life, visualization becomes more effective the more often, longer and consistently you practice.

Your future life is your top priority, so keep it always top of mind. Schedule your feel it real, imagination times if you can but if not, just make sure you practice every single day.

What Consistent Practice Actually Looks Like

It does not have to be dramatic. Five minutes in the morning before the day begins. A brief mental scene at the end of the night before sleep. A moment during the day where you consciously choose the inner state you want rather than the one circumstances are handing you. These are not grand gestures. They are the quiet, cumulative acts that build a powerful imagination over weeks and months. The depth of what you can create with this faculty is in direct proportion to how seriously you take the daily practice.

Tips Only Work If the Practice Is Real

Six tips, twelve tips, a hundred tips — none of them matter without the daily return to the inner work. The imagination does not become powerful through reading about it. It becomes powerful through use. Whatever you are carrying right now — the desire that feels distant, the circumstance that feels immovable — none of it has the final word. You do. The power that runs through every living thing runs through you. Not as a metaphor. As a fact. You are the operant power. Activate it.

Michael Sutherland

Michael Sutherland is the founder of TrueCosmic and a devoted student and practitioner of Neville Goddard teachings. His path to this work was not academic — it was forged in crisis. Raised as a devout Jehovah Witness and Baptist, Michael walked away from the church at eighteen and spent the next 25 years in what scripture calls the far country — the prodigal son, wandering. He built a life by the world rules, searching without knowing what he was searching for. When the biggest crisis of his life arrived, he turned back — not to the church, but to scripture itself. Through Neville Goddard teachings he found what the church had never shown him: that the God of scripture is not an external being to be feared and appeased. God is your own awareness. Your own consciousness. Your own imagination. The I AM within. What he discovered was not a set of Neville Goddard principles — these are cosmic laws, written about not only in the Bible but across every ancient spiritual tradition the world over. The same truth, expressed in different language, in every age. The law of consciousness operates whether we are aware of it or not. We are manifesting constantly — the wanted and the unwanted alike. Understanding how this law works allows us to work with it consciously and intentionally, directing it toward the experiences we actually desire rather than the ones our unexamined assumptions are silently producing. In 2017, guided by two mentors — Dr Bruno R Cignacco and Roupa Jetto, a hypnotherapist and Buddhist practitioner — Michael had his first transcendent experience during deep meditation. In 2018 came something he could never have sought or engineered: what is described across traditions as a Kundalini awakening. A sound like rushing wind in both ears. An electrical current rising from the base of the spine, so intense it seemed impossible to survive. Every experience that followed — out of body states, movement along the spinal cord, sensations inside the skull — was documented in scripture, passage by passage, hidden in plain sight. This is not something that can be earned or manufactured. It is grace. According to scripture, it is every soul birthright — every one of us will experience this unfolding, in this lifetime or another. Michael does not share this to define himself above anyone else. He shares it because it confirmed, beyond any doubt, that what Neville Goddard taught is true — and because that confirmation is the foundation on which TrueCosmic was built. TrueCosmic today is home to the most comprehensive Neville Goddard library available online — 292 lectures — alongside an academy of courses, masterclasses and workshops, and 13 specialist coaches serving students across every continent. At its heart is a global community of over 92,000 members, all discovering what happens when you begin to work consciously with the law that was always operating anyway. The invitation is simple: become aware of the law. Understand how it works. And begin, deliberately, to use it.
