Suppose you could actually change future events in your life, even when the outcome seemed impossible. Neville Goddard taught exactly such a technique. Think of it this way – if you were to leave your home today, you would almost certainly have some idea of where you’re going. If you got into your car, set off on a journey, and used a sat nav, you would first have to input a destination.
This analogy illustrates that, with manifestation, you must also have a clear endpoint. Vagueness leads nowhere. You must be definite and clear about what you want.
When it comes to manifesting, Neville Goddard, in his many works, gave clear instructions on how to change your future. He consistently taught that you should always begin by going straight to the end – a definite end. Below are the key steps you need to take:
As mentioned above, you must be absolutely clear in your mind about what you want. If there is a problem in your life, first decide in your mind what needs to happen to resolve it. Clarity of thought creates direction. Always remember, every problem carries within it a potential solution — your job is to focus on that solution and hold it firmly in your imagination.
In your mind’s eye, create a vivid scene that clearly implies you have already achieved your goal. This is where the process becomes exciting because your imagination has no limits. You have full creative freedom to picture anything that would confirm your desire is fulfilled.
For example, if your goal is to be happily married, you might picture yourself wearing a wedding ring. In your imagination, a close friend could compliment your ring, and you could respond by expressing how happy you are since your wedding. This single scene carries two assumptions at once — that you are married and that you are happy.
Neville Goddard instructs us to bring ourselves into a state akin to sleep. To do this, still your body and enter a meditative state, ideally just before you drift off to sleep. Today’s scientists call this the hypnagogic state. Once you reach this level of consciousness, step into and participate in the scene you created. However, it is essential to enact the scene as though it is happening right now in the present moment, not sometime in the distant future.
The emotional impact is completely different when you imagine and engage in the present tense (“I AM”). Neville emphasized this as the critical distinction between success and failure in manifestation.
Another important point is to visualize everything from a first-person perspective rather than a second-person point of view. The illustration below shows the correct and incorrect ways to imagine driving a car and highlights the subtle but powerful difference this makes.
Next, we are told that while in this state, with minimal effort, we must allow the feeling to permeate our minds. We must feel as though we are already having, doing, or being the thing we desire. Immerse yourself fully in the feeling of its achievement. At this point, the creative act is complete, and the seed has been planted. Remember that the manifestation will materialize according to your state of being.

Finally, he instructs us to, in his own words:
“go about your business, not doubting but believing that your wish has been fulfilled. Your greater self ,the real you will go about to create the means to reveal your desire.
This seems, if anything, too simple, but Neville was quite clear that’s the means and how is not your concern. Circumstances or a “bridge of incidents”, as he liked to call it, would reveal your manifestation to you.

As with most things, with more practice comes more proficiency, so I encourage you to give it a try, test it, and be prepared to be amazed.
