When we integrate conscious imagination into our lives, it is usually because we have a specific goal in mind. We may have a completely different vision for our future, or perhaps we have one important personal ideal we wish to embody. Maybe we want greater financial success, a healthier body, or a more fulfilling career. Whatever the case, our wonderful human imagination, which is God in action, is the tool we use to move toward every goal.

Most of us already know some ways to tap into the Law of Assumption. We enter a State Akin to Sleep, close our eyes, and easily picture a scene of our perfect life. We catch the feeling, we catch the mood. This is a great start and helps us step into the state of the wish fulfilled.

However, to truly manifest, we need more than just a brief visualization. We need to strengthen our ability to stay in that desired state even while we wait for the manifestation to unfold. Many delays happen because we slip out of the state or allow our old assumptions to return. Staying disciplined and consistent is key.

As Neville Goddard taught, wear the feeling of your wish fulfilled as you would a suit of clothes and persist until the feeling becomes natural and real. When you do this, your desire will emerge as a natural eruption of your sustained thought.

Fortunately, Neville Goddard gave us excellent tools to maintain the state of the wish fulfilled. Here are a few you can incorporate into your daily routine to keep your imagination active and your assumptions aligned with your desires.

One of the most effective methods I’ve found for maintaining my inner state in alignment with my desire is Neville Goddard’s technique of Revision. Neville advised us to revise each day at its end, imagining it as we wish it had gone rather than how it actually went.

This technique involves reliving the events of your day in your imagination until they feel real, then falling asleep in that revised state. Over time, this incremental process reshapes your inner assumptions and influences future events to align with your desired state.

How to Practice Revision Before Sleep:

  • Review any events during the day that did not unfold as you wanted.
  • Get into the State Akin to Sleep (SATS).
  • In your imagination, revise those events the way you would have wanted them to go.
  • Relive the revised events over and over until they take on the feeling of reality—as if they actually happened.
  • Fall asleep in this revised state.

Inner Dialogue

Another powerful tool Neville emphasized is inner dialogue. Throughout the day, we constantly talk to ourselves. This self-talk can either support or undermine our manifestation.

I’m not referring to the chatter of the ego but to the deeper part of you—the God within. When I catch myself doubting or feeling impatient, I simply express gratitude for my desire as though it is already fulfilled. Gratitude immediately shifts you from a state of wanting to a state of having, reinforcing the feeling that you already possess your desire.

When you wake up in the morning, consider using vocalization as a part of your routine. Once you have gotten yourself ready, try to look in the mirror and tell yourself some powerful affirmations. I AM you fill in the blanks with whatever you wish. A little dialogue with your reflection in the mirror is not as crazy as it may sound. It’s really empowering. Vocalization can help to program our subconscious minds, and this simple little exercise takes seconds and costs nothing!

Morning Routine

As you awaken from your night’s sleep, your brain shifts through wave states. You move from Delta through to Theta, then Alpha, and finally Beta. It’s in this Beta state that the Carnal or intellectual part of your brain kicks in, and if you pay too much attention to the inputs from your senses in this state, it’s easy to shift to an undesired feeling.

A very effective practice is to consciously imagine your wish fulfilled while you are still in that drowsy, dreamy state just before getting out of bed. This moment is powerful because your mind is naturally more suggestible – similar to the state you enter just before falling asleep at night.

Take a few minutes to catch the mood and feel the emotion of your desire as if it has already been achieved. Allow yourself to fully immerse in this feeling before rising to begin your day. By doing this simple practice, you prepare your mind to stay in the desired state throughout the day.

Although it may seem small or even silly, this exercise can significantly influence your mindset. It helps you set a clear intention and align your emotions with your goals from the very start of the day. Remember, there is no limit to your potential. By clearing your mind and setting your intention each morning, you strengthen your ability to persist in the feeling of the wish fulfilled and carry that state into everything you do.

OK, if you’re like me, I hate to admit it, but I spend far too much time on my smartphone. If it’s not social media, tweets, emails, or streaming music, a large portion of my time is spent either staring at my phone screen or my laptop. So, a great way to have a frequent reminder is to set up a screen saver with a powerful affirmation.

Just think about it every time you look at the screen, there’s that powerful I AM statement right in front of your eyes. Try it for a day and be pleasantly surprised by how often you’ll read that affirmation. And remember, subconscious impressions work by repetition..

All the tips here are techniques I have been using to keep myself in the desired state whenever I’m manifesting a wish. You see, so often in the groups and forums I belong to, I often see comments from members who are able to imagine correctly, but struggle to maintain the mood there after. Any one of these methods or a combination of them can assist you in remaining in your state of wish fulfillment.
