Bridge of Incidents – Neville Goddard
A staunch believer in the idea of manifesting your own reality, Neville Goddard’s teaching is more relevant in the current context than ever. With a fast-paced life and losing touch with our mind and soul, we have opened ourselves to a reality that we are not fully satisfied with. This is why we need to use the techniques of Law of assumption and a bridge of incidents to manifest our reality that we find satisfactory.
“A virtue must be felt in order to be assumed.”—Neville Goddard
A bridge of incidents is one such interesting concepts subsumed under the law of assumption teachings.ĺ
Embarking upon this path is not linear because when you are imagining your reality, your current circumstances might not seem to be connected to your imagined scenarios but it does not mean that you are not on your desired path.
This pathway works in a domino effect, beginning by imagining your desired life is a step towards putting yourself on your desired path. The incidents that occurs look seemingly unrelated to your life goals are actually connected similar to a bridge, hence, the term a bridge of incidents.
Imagination Is Constantly Creating
This is a reminder that when you use the imagination to manifest your idea of reality—whether life situation, relationships, job, money or happiness. You might go through life for certain time period where you might feel as if these techniques do not work, but the truth is they are always working. If you are currently reading this that is also one of the signs that you are on the path.
Why is it important to understand a bridge of incidents concept?
The manifestation process is energized by your belief in yourself, your ability to create your reality and your dreams that you are trying to manifest. Once you understand that your circumstances are connected to bring you closer towards your desired goals, you can have firmer belief in the process which will strengthen it further.
As Neville Goddard said:
if you live in a state of feeling as if your wish is fulfilled it becomes real in the physical world too.
Hence, waiting for your manifestations will foster more waiting, but, if you live and experience in your life in a way that you have achieved your desires, your life experiences will be enriched.
The physical body is governed by our soul and our sub-conscious self, beginning with the process of imagination through getting in touch with our souls and our inner self. This will take us a step closer to our manifestations. The manifestations are not simply a stand-alone goal, it is a state of mind, emotion and an all-encompassing experience. This means even our imaginations must include all these varied feelings and experiences for us to be on the bridge, following which, the incidents that will subsequently occur ties to your experiences.
It is not an end-all experience, it is a continuum when you do achieve your results, you do not get a messenger or a clear message that you have arrived at your destination. You were already at your destination inwardly , the outer objective world was only reflecting this state. According to Neville Goddard’s teaching every part of your life – mental, emotional, spiritual, and physical – is a journey, wherein you are the creator.
The Importance Of Belief
Since you are the creator, you need to understand that belief is the energizing force behind this process (even if it is difficult to inculcate belief initially), you can take this process slowly one day at a time. Soon, you will notice that you have gradually instilled belief in yourself and the process.
The root of this belief lies in the bridge of incidents as mentioned above and simply believing that once you have begun imagining, your subsequent life situations or actions are now serving as bridges to your desired state of life.
Now that you understand the heart of this manifestation process, you can begin strengthening your belief to lead to your desired dreams.
