Have you ever paused – truly paused – and asked yourself, “Who am I?”

Not the version that greets you in the mirror each morning. Not the role you play among friends or the persona you wear with family. Not the image you try to uphold at work, online, or in the eyes of the world. We wear many masks – and none of them are truly us. I’m not speaking to the actor on life’s stage, shifting roles to match the scene. I’m speaking to the one who watches. The one behind the eyes. The silent observer who sees all, feels all, and remains when all else falls away.

Let’s take a journey into that silence. There’s no one here to impress. No expectations to meet. No masks to wear. Just you… and the presence within you. Let go of every thought that limits you. Set aside the noise of judgment, fear, or past conditioning. Breathe deeply. Be still. Now, repeat gently:

“I AM… I AM… I AM.”

With each repetition, you are not just affirming your existence – you are invoking your divine identity. This I AM within you is not a thought. It is not a name. It is the creative power of the universe. It existed before form, before time. It gives rise to every persona you’ve worn… and to the cosmos itself.

Most have forgotten this. They speak the words “I am” daily – unaware that they are uttering the sacred name of God. But not you. If you are reading this, something in you is stirring. You are remembering. You are awakening. Awakening to your true identity: Pure Being. Self-originating Spirit. Unconditioned Consciousness.

As the ancient truth declares: “I have said, ye are gods”

So ask yourself again, who am I? You may not consciously remember when you became an individualized spirit, but it must have happened because here we are, you and me, living separate lives in these perishable meat suits. There was a time when we dreamed in concert and devised the construct called Planet Earth, the quintessential school for the imagination. What was the purpose? It was through experience, divine consciousness would expand.

When you think of the universe, what picture do you conjure up in your mind? Is it limited to what you can see around you? Do you think of the planets we know about, the stars, and the galaxies? When you look up at a clear sky at night, you can see thousands if not millions, of stars shining in the darkness. Even here, though, we are only looking at a small segment of the sky, and as you stare into the abyss, you can get an overwhelming feeling of being minute in the vastness of the universe. But it couldn’t be further from the truth. Why? Because the consciousness that you and I possess, that exists at the very core of our being, is part of the fabric of the universe.

Yes, you were there at the beginning when all this was created. For you – yes, you, the one reading this article – existed before time, before all the planets, galaxies, and stars. Yes, the real you, your real self, you are the Word spoken of in scripture. You are the Elohim. Scripture calls these “hard sayings” – difficult truths to internalize. Why? Because to the one asleep, it is hard to accept. However, once adopted, they become so self-empowering and such a paradigm shift that your life is never the same again. Read on and I shall explain why.

MY OWN SPECIAL PLACE

I have my very own special place. It’s a veranda in my family’s villa in Portland, Jamaica. It’s where I would often sit on my father’s old wicker chair and watch the sunset. It’s such a beautiful panoramic view of the beach and the Caribbean Sea. And I recall one cool Sunday evening looking out at the sunset, when I suddenly had this surreal moment. – It was magical.

Sitting there alone in complete silence, watching the orange sky and thinking how my physical vessel is so small in comparison to the vastness of the Universe. I also felt empowered knowing I was part of the magic being created. Yes, I was there when all this was brought into being, and I continue to do so, because my consciousness is continuously creating and sustaining everything before my eyes.

In that moment, I remembered a deeper truth – that the mind is the creative source behind everything I see. What we call reality is not something happening to us, but something unfolding through us. Wherever there is consciousness, there is creation. But here is something else to remember: This Universe, in all its wonder, responds not to effort, but to vibration – to the thoughts we dwell on, the feelings we nurture, and the assumptions we persist in.

Every image you and I hold, every inner conversation we repeat, every feeling we allow to saturate our being – these are not just fleeting moments; they are the blueprints of our world. The truth is, I’m not just watching the sunset – I am the one imagining it into being. And so are you.

When you choose your thoughts with intention and sustain imaginal acts with love and conviction, you are choosing the life that unfolds around you. Thinking from this perspective creates a huge power shift – one from a helpless reactor to one who writes and narrates his own life.

DON’T ABUSE THIS POWER

Stop for a minute and think about: in one 24-hour period, how many different things do we imagine? And of that immense number, how many are aligned with the life we wish to experience?

There is a phrase popularized by Neville: “The whole world is myself pushed out!” And having acknowledged our true identity and the creative power of our own consciousness, you can understand why it is incumbent upon us to be vigilant about our daily imaginal activities.

This is why it is important to try to exercise control over the mental images that dominate our minds, because what dominates our imaginal activity, whether consciously or unconsciously, is being “pushed out” – it will march forward to confront us in the future.

Our imaginal activities are creative; they do not recede back into our subjective memories. When fused with emotion, they become part of the very fabric of the observable future. The smartphone you’re holding in your hand, the chair you are sitting on, the millions of stars, planets, and galaxies – all had their origin from the same omnipotent source: consciousness. This is the creative power you and I possess, and why we shouldn’t abuse it.

The Aquarian Age has brought in the concept of working with the mind. Since the discovery that the atom can be split, our materialistic image of the world is quickly breaking down. We used to see man as a solid object, and now we are thinking more and more in terms of fields of power and energy. Change is taking place all around. There is a great spiritual awakening amongst the ordinary man, and we are all part of it. It’s why you’re here reading this article.

It’s also why, if there’s only one thing I can try to impress on you, it is to open your mind to the potential that you have within you, to accept the true identity of your imagination: God.

Scripture says, “With God all things are possible” (Matthew 19:26). It also says, “All things are possible to him who believes” (Mark 9:23). The two are synonymous terms. So, my proclaiming that you are divine isn’t so outrageous at all. You have within you the power to achieve anything you desire. You are only limited by your own beliefs.

SPEND SOME TIME IN THE SILENCE

Next time you’re out in a shopping mall, park, or another public place, take a few moments to observe. Stop and look around you, and you’ll begin to notice most people racing through life, on empty, feeling exhausted, burnt out, and rarely pausing to connect and nurture that energy within.

I have a young daughter, not yet a teenager, who walks around twenty-four seven with her smartphone in hand, constantly glued to the screen, incessantly fixated with the latest tweets, snaps, and TikTok videos. It’s as if she and that blasted gadget are attached by an umbilical cord. I’m glad that governments are now beginning to acknowledge the unhealthy relationships that the younger society is developing with tech. Unchecked, our culture will just churn out another generation that is controlled by their sensory inputs – or as I call it, a generation of reactors.

It’s not just the kids, though. You also have stressed-out parents feeling they need a break from domestic Deja vu. Monday morning, they walk into the office like zombies and return from work later that day like the walking wounded. Round-the-clock bombardment from computers, phones, TVs, etc.

When do they ever take the time to just stop and observe? When do they ever have the time to stop reacting, block out the sensory inputs, and cultivate an inner state more aligned with their goals and desires? So often, people are on this constant chase to catch up, trying their best to get a work-life balance that’s always being disrupted.

Hectic modern life can literally suck the life out of you. Then along comes someone like me, a mad mystic who tells you that it doesn’t have to be like this. I’ll try and convince you that chasing shadows is a forlorn task and that attracting what you want is far more achievable than you might think.

I will tell you the key to experiencing your desires is not to chase them in the outer world, but to consciously create the inner state that reflects their fulfillment. Learn to sit in the silence. Practice sustaining the imaginal activity that aligns with your vision – feel it, embody it, and live from it – and the external world will begin to conform effortlessly. I will forever remind you that you are not at the mercy of circumstances; you are the Operant power.

That the world within you is the true creative field, and what you nourish there is precisely what you’ll see pushed out. In that inner realm, you hold complete authority – so dwell in the end, nurture the feeling of already having what you want, and watch as life mirrors it back in the most natural and graceful way.

It is undeniable that in this Age of Aquarius, millions are waking up and discovering that there is a more epic way of living. Just in our tribe, for example, thousands have come to the realization that through conscious imagining, they can finally realize their dreams. Through their wonderful imagination, they can nurture an inner kingdom in sync with their desire and break away from society’s stresses.

Sure enough, in our time on planet earth, we will experience the natural blows of life, but waking up to the truth of who we really are – as divine beings having a human experience – makes this odyssey called life that much more intriguing. We feel in control, not being controlled. But it takes commitment, practice, and persistence.

TIME TO WAKE UP

“Awake, why sleepest thou, O Lord? Arise…” – Psalm 44:23, KJV

This scripture is addressed to you – the real you. The divine dreamer is lost in the illusion of limitation. You were never meant to merely survive this life… You were meant to create, to imagine, to reign. The I AM within you is not small, not broken, not powerless – it is the God spoken of in scripture, waiting for your remembrance.

So awaken. Shake off the slumber of doubt and conformity. Step into the awareness that you are the Operant power, the creative source behind all you experience. The time to live as you were designed to – joyfully, consciously, intentionally – is now.

Don’t just read about the truth. Become it. Embody it. Live it.

You are not becoming divine – you already are.
