Revealed How A Persistent Assumption Always Manifests

Always Persist In The Assumption

Always Persist In The Assumption

Daring to assume that all things are possible to imagine, put this one reality to the extreme test by assuming you are the person you would like to be. Your reasonable mind and outer senses may deny it, but I promise you: if you will persist, you will receive your assumption: Neville Goddard Persistent Assumption

If It Appears You’re Not Succeeding… Keep Persisting

Why did Neville Goddard repeatedly say that a persistent assumption is so important?

Sometimes, it can be discouraging to know exactly where you want to be but find yourself unable to reach that goal within the timeframe or in the way you expected. Oh, how the ego mind always wants to be in control!

However, this should not be as discouraging as many people make it. Often, there is a bridge of incidents that our limited conscious mind could never plan, yet these events must unfold to lead us to our manifestation.

Despite understanding this, many so-called conscious manifestors still struggle to persist in their assumptions. They become frustrated and complain, forgetting that the only true way to fail is to completely give up on the goal and start imagining something else.

Why Discussing The Problem Doesn’t Always Help

I’m a member of quite a few Facebook groups and forums; I actually run one myself. The groups are an excellent place to share knowledge and opinions. I’ve also found the groups particularly inspiring. However, there’s one thing I personally refrain from doing that is: discussing my manifestations midway through the process.

Should we discuss our manifestation?

Should we discuss our manifestation?

I know opinions are divided on this, but I’ve found that the fewer people I discuss my desires with, the easier it is to remain in the state of the wish fulfilled.

How often do we see people complaining in forums, saying things like, “I’m trying to manifest, but my SP hasn’t called yet,” or “The job offer still hasn’t come through,” or expressing some other frustration?

What they don’t realize is that by doing this, they are focusing on the wrong thing – the lack of what they desire. Soon, others join in with their well-meaning advice, but unknowingly, they too reinforce that same state of lack.

It’s in moments like these that we must stop this old, unproductive habit and act as Abdullah did when Neville wanted to go to Barbados.

“You are in Barbados, and you went first.”

How could Neville discuss how he was going to go when, in consciousness, he was already there?

At the time, it may have appeared to Neville that Abdullah was being insensitive for not wanting to discuss how the manifestation was progressing, but in truth, Abdullah was teaching him a powerful lesson – persistence in assumption.

You have to remain loyal to the unseen reality. Discipline yourself to stay unwavering in your application, for this is the key to manifesting. If you are already in the state of having your desire, how can you discuss it not having arrived yet?

You must live from the state of already possessing the thing desired.

In such moments, a small reminder or gentle encouragement to stay faithful to your imaginal act is enough. Anything more, even if well-intentioned, can become counterproductive.

Imagination Is The Creation & Solution To All Problems

Whether we realize it or not, our imagination is continuously in action. It never rests. Creating all the joys and woes of life, we can either be a reactor or a director in the path our imagination takes. This is the unique gift that man possesses.

Persistent Assumption Neville Goddard

Let your assumption determine the means.

Isn’t it wonderful to know that the way and means of our desires have already been worked out? The bridge of incidence has already been determined. There’s no hard work on our part, only to just trust your Imagination and remain faithful; there’s nothing else.

“Dare to assume that you have your desire. You may feel you do not have the wisdom to find the means to get it, but you do. If it takes one thousand or ten thousand people to play their parts to bring you the embodiment of what you have assumed you are, they will play their parts, knowingly or unknowingly. “ Neville Goddard

Keep in mind that many successful manifestation stories include events that at first appear as setbacks, but in hindsight, you realize they were necessary to achieve the desired outcome.

It cannot be emphasized enough the thing that all success stories have in common is that the person never wavered in their persistence. It was important for them to remain focused and to continue remaining loyal to the unseen reality.

Example Of Persistent Assumption Neville Goddard

I’d like to include a short excerpt from one of Neville’s lectures. It’s Neville’s own experience; it’s not one of his most popular stories, however, I feel it really drives home the importance of persistent assumptions:

Back in 1943 when I came out of the army I was looking for an apartment. My wife and I had determined how much we were going to pay for it, but when we found the apartment the rent was more than we had planned to pay.

Realizing this, my wife said: “Well, that’s not demonstrating this principle, is it.” I said nothing. I simply paid the months of September and October, but when I went to pay the November rent the manager said: “I have an apology to make to you. An authority of the city came in and looked over my books.

He discovered that the apartment you have was formerly rented for less.” Then he quoted the new rent figure to me, which was to the dollar the amount I had originally chosen to pay. It took me three months of being faithful to what I had imagined I was paying, even though during that time I was paying more. But, since the reduced rent was retroactive to the day I moved in, I got it all back at the beginning of the third month.

I committed myself in my imagination, to what I was going to pay. I went looking, and because I was going to pay more – in his eyes – he gave me all kinds of concessions he would not have done had I paid him what the former tenant did. First of all he allowed us to pick out the wallpaper, the colors and rooms we wanted painted.

He even built a bookshelf for me which covered an entire wall, for all my books. He did everything I wanted; but if I had gone in there and gotten the rent for the amount I said I would pay, he would not have built the bookcase for me, given me the wallpaper, or painted the entire apartment to my specifications. Only then was the rent reduced to the amount I had imagined it to be, and we remained there almost fourteen years.
A Parabolic Revelation.

Now I know in my case, when I first read this account, I must confess that I would have given up my endeavors at the point when he moved into the apartment. However, Neville’s persistent assumption continued for 3 months after the supposed fact!

This is now my blueprint for persistence. I often refer back to this story if ever I feel impatient or misaligned when manifesting my own desires.

Conclusion

So, if it seems like things aren’t going right, don’t assume that it is because your imaginal acts are constantly creating. When we don’t get what we want in the way we want it, it is an indication that our inner being knows the best and most harmonious way for this to unfold.

Remember, as you walk in faith, that which you have imagined is so, will become so.
